NOOR's Sanne De Wilde talks about her latest collaborative project with Bénédicte Kurzen, Land of Ibeji, and how they approached this story to reconnect with the spirituality and the mythology of the twinhood; the twin as a symbol for exchange, dialogue, duality and a universal, shared experience.
The Island of the Colorblind, a project about achromatopsia (complete colorblindess) is an invitation to embrace the 'diversity of vision'. On the Micronesian islands Pingelap and Pohnpei, color is just a word to many of the achromatic inhabitants. Mythology and storytelling serves as a guide to re-define pre-conceived ideas and 're-paint' reality.
